Keepin’ Lincoln Blvd. Clean!

Several dedicated volunteers joined Santa Monica Baykeeper on a bright Saturday morning to pick up trash along Lincoln Blvd. This is an important task to keep trash from reaching the beach.
It was a busy morning since large amounts of garbage collects just north of Culver Blvd. on Lincoln. We picked-up everything from cigarette butts to construction supplies to valet parking stubs. To help prevent this onslaught of trash, we ask truck drivers to make sure items stored in trucks beds are secure, we ask smokers to put out cigarettes in car ashtrays, and we ask all drivers to remember to remove pieces of paper from windshields before driving off.
These simple actions make a big difference. Thanks to all our great volunteers who came and helped, we couldn’t do it without you!
